Off Road Driving
Off Road Driving qualifications and/or experience is an essential part of many land based industries as well as being almost indispensable in many off road / overland situations. Venture4x4 are delighted to be able to offer a range of Off Road driving courses tailor made to your requirements. These courses can either be delivered from our off road site near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire or, subject to approval, at an off road site near you.
Please note that there is a LEGAL REQUIREMENT for all employers and employees who use vehicles off road / overland as part of their work to be formally trained (Provisions for the Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 [PUWER 1998] and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 [HASAW 1974] ).

Our one/half day recreational Off-Road driving course has been especially designed to provide memorable off-road experience.
The experience will concentrate mainly on the driving experience; however some theory will be included so that clients can gain as much out of the day as possible. We can also include winching and/or vehicle recovery as well as some water work.
Just ask and we will tailor the activity to meet your exact needs.
On completion, candidates will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Our one day Professional Off-Road driving course has been especially designed to meet the needs of not only the off-road enthusiast but also the overland drivers who require Professional Development in the use of 4x4's. Because it is your day, we can tailor the activity directly to your needs and can include water work as well as winching and recovery.
During the experience, we will focus on both the practical side of 4x4 driving and much of the underpinning theory; both elements will enabling you to operate a 4x4 safely, understand how a 4x4 works, whilst improving your professional standard.
On completion, candidates will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Professional Technical
Award - Off-Road Driving

We offer an extended one day 'Experience' off-road driving course for candidates who have a proven track record of off-road driving ie previous Lantra Award or equivalent experience or a two day 'Professional' driving course if candidates need the full training.
Both courses will identify and examine the health and safety requirements associated with the use of off-road vehicles in the work place as well as examine the principles of risk assessment before venturing off road. The course will also explore the array of methods available for safe off road driving.
The courses will explore some of the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
During the many practical sessions of the course, candidates will have the opportunity to reinforce and demonstrate their learning whilst being encouraged to include any prior knowledge they may have. Candidates will also be required carry out a number of safe drives over a variety of different terrains.
